Namaste from the WhiteGold crew!! Having just crossed the big ol' Pacific Ocean to the 'land of the free'.. Myself (Pete Long), Patt Kalucy & Hugh Marsden settled into Cali life from the get go. First stop sunset blvd, where we checked into our flash hollywood hotel and proceeded to float into a magical afternoon of cruising tinsel town.. Skate shops, tattoo parlours & 'hippy houses' were the first ports of call, throw in the mix some fresh slice pizza and you have some Aussie touro's at there best haha goodtimes aplenty.
We then woke to another perfect L.A morning, Putting the smog aside this place engulfs my all every time I visit and the prospect of moving here full time to pursue my vert skating career rings louder and louder.
We then hit the 14 in 'Big Poppa', having scoped the forecasts it seemed Mammoth Mtn was on like donkey kong, and the lure of the steep and deep veered us from our original plan of Bear Mtn, next stop the delightful yet quirky town of Bishop, situated bout an hour from Mammoth Lakes....
